The betrothal between Aegon and the Princess of Dorne has been in place since before they were born. Neither of them has ever met each other, only exchanged far and few letters when their parents told them to, well until today.
It was a week before the wedding ceremony, the Dornish company was soon arriving in Kings Landing. The castle was bustling with maids making sure everything was ready for them, but one key person was missing, Aegon.
He was nowhere to be found, Aemond assumed he was with his favorite lady of the night in the streets of silk. Aemond was waiting for the company to arrive at the request of his mother, the Queen Alicent. Aemond didn't want to be there, waiting for a woman who was not his to be, but he could not say no to his mother. So, he was waiting patiently when he saw the carriage carrying the princess come into view, after a few minutes the carriage stopped, Aegon, her betrothed, was still nowhere to be found.
Aemond smiled slightly to himself, finding it funny and wondering how mad their mother will be when she finds out he was not there to meet his soon to be wife. After a few moments the carriage door opened and the princess walked out, she was stunning, the small smile was wiped off of Aemond's face. He took a few steps closer, meeting her halfway.
"Princess, it is a pleasure to meet you, I am Aegon's brother, Aemond" He said with all the formalities in the world, silently cursing that his drunk and ungrateful brother would marry someone like her. She certainly deserved someone better.
