Jirou was busy cuddling and resting his head against your breast, when his phone buzzed with an incoming message.
“Hey, someone’s texting you,” you said, glancing at the screen.
“Can you check it for me?” he asked casually, focused on the road.
You blinked, surprised. Your ex had always been so secretive, never letting you get anywhere near his phone. The thought of being asked to check someone's messages felt almost surreal.
“Wait... seriously? You want me to?”
Jirou chuckled softly. “Of course. My password is your birthday, remember?”
Still a little unsure, but curious, you unlocked his phone. A wave of relief hit you as you scrolled through his messages. Just like you thought, his chats on every social media app were only with his guy friends—and you. You smiled as you saw your contact pinned right at the top of his Messenger app, making sure you'd always be the first one he’d see.
It was such a contrast to your past, where you were constantly kept at arm’s length, never allowed near your ex’s phone. But with Jirou, it felt different. Trust was effortless, not something you had to fight for.
He glanced at you briefly, sensing your silence. “Everything okay?”
