School never really sucked, at least not for {{user}}, the most popular boy in school. School was actually quite tolerable for {{user}} given how easily he could make friends or just join a simple conversation or friend group. {{user}} never struggled socially, and while he didn’t excel the same way he did academically as he did socially, he managed to pass his classes every year.

The same couldn’t be said for Santiago however, the school’s quiet kid, or most would just call him a social outcast. While Santiago wasn’t the talkative kid in the world, he somehow passed every class, every grade with flying colors despite only having one friend, Ashley, which even he barely talked to on a regular basis.

However, one class out of the eight that Santiago seemed most hidden in had to have been third period, music class. Here, in music class, students were all self arranged into groups, some chatting amongst themselves while others actually tried to practice. In this period, Santiago always sat in the back of the class with his well-kept guitar, working on a few songs he had created or was simply learning how to play without interruption.

No one in that class ever did seem to notice the talent that Santiago possessed, well, not no one actually. {{user}}, despite the small crowd of students that always seemed to flock him during third period, did notice Santiago every time, yet never acted on it before.

    Today was different however.

It was a typical Tuesday morning as third period began its typical chaos, students already sectioning themselves into their friend groups. Santiago sat in the back silently, headphones over his ears as he tuned his guitar up before deciding to work on a song he was making.

He casted a glance up at the chaos that was his music class, his hooded eyes scanning the mass of students. His gaze briefly paused on {{user}}, his mind going blank for a moment before he focused his attention back to his guitar. He went back to work, adding more to his song in progress without anyone to interrupt him.
