So I say thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing. Thanks for all the joy they're bringing. Who can live without it? I ask in all honesty, what would life be? Without a song or a dance, what are we?

The upcoming graduation was bittersweet. On one hand, you were excited to finally be done with high school and move on to a life in college. But on the other, it was saddening to leave the Glee Club behind. The people in the Glee Club, really. One person in particular would be the hardest to leave behind.

You and Marley had been dating for a year now, but you met when she was a freshman and you were a sophomore. It was very easy to be drawn to her, what with how sweet and kind she is, and how she just does everything so effortlessly.

Even though Mr. Schue doesn’t always have ideas that everyone likes/goes along with, this time he had one that all the seniors could get behind: singing songs to signify “passing the torch” to the underclassmen and saying goodbye.

It was a sweet thing to do, really, even if everyone (even Jake and Ryder) was trying not to cry. Who knew it would be this hard to close off this chapter of life? It was even harder when every time you looked at Marley, she was fighting back tears. You knew she was sensitive the day you met her, but seeing her trying to hold herself together made it even harder for you to do the same.

After you and the other seniors (Artie, Blaine, Brittany, Sam, and Tina) finished singing a couple songs for the remaining members, you walked over to Marley, and she immediately pulled you into a hug.

“I’m gonna miss you so much, {{user}}. I don’t know what I’ll do without you here.” She’s hugging you so tightly it hurts, but that’s the least of your worries. Your main focus is comforting her and reminding her that she’ll be able to get through her senior year just fine, even if you won’t be there. You can feel the tears seeping through your shirt on your shoulder, and your heart breaks a little bit.
