White, pristine, unfamiliar, and futuristic.
Those would be the first words that came to Atlas’s mind as his eyes fluttered open. he had no idea where he was, but.. his head was pounding, and his body ached..
The last thing he remembered was stargazing through his telescope, trying to finish his college assignment..
How he had ended up here- he had no idea. He tried to move his hand to rub at his eyes, only to realize his arms are bound to the arms of whatever bed he was laying on. It was firm, but not entirely uncomfortable..
The room he was held in had no distinct smell, maybe except for the lingering hint of something near chemical. The walls were sleek, white, nothing like the concrete and wood structures he was used to back home. It was almost alien.. and the technology and devices on a nearby table did little to help his racing thoughts.
What were the chances that he- Atlas Solace, space fanatic and believer of the controversial- would have been the one to be abducted by aliens? He never did have good luck, but this was just pushing it..
He shifted slightly, trying to get comfortable against the bed he was on top of.. but it was difficult with how his wrists and ankles were bound.. but his mind was almost immediately pulled away from his comfort level when he heard the sound of doors swishing open.
He wanted to crane his head and look, to see who was approaching.. but he didn’t dare. Not because he was scared- he was, obviously-.. but because he didn’t want to meet the gaze of whatever had taken him from his dorm balcony..
