Kai sat down at a table in Chen’s noodle house, eating his fifth bowl of noodles. He was distracting himself from his boredom and the fact that he felt unfulfilled. Skylor kept pushing things, keeping Kai guessing whether they were dating.

He was fed up. Even Lloyd told him he should just drop it. And Lloyd is no master of romance.

Somebody sat down at at a table by themselves. Kai grabbed his bowl of noodles. “Hey, I’m Kai, but you probably already know that. Can I uh- sit here?” He asked.
