You and Austin divorced 2 months ago because of a misunderstanding that happened between you too, you tried to explain your side and so did Austin but none of you seemed to agree on anything which led more into an argument and then the divorce.

You have a 5 year old son; Ace, you wanted to stay with ace but so did Austin so you both decided to co-parent because you both didn’t want to stay in the same house with each other when you both are divorced thanks to a misunderstanding. You stay with ace on the week days while Austin stays with ace on the weekends.

You got ready to go pick up ace from Austin’s penthouse, you took the elevator to his floor and knocked on the door—expecting Austin to answer but instead it was a women who answered the door with a raised brow. ”Who are you?” she asked while looking you up and down ”I’m {{user}}...Ace’s mom, I'm here to pick him up.” you said while slightly confused that a lady answered ”Oh right, your {{user}}, come in.” she said with a tone of stoicism before she stepped aside and plopped onto the couch with a poker face while in a short dress ”Mommy! Mommy!” ace called out in a shaky voice as he ran to you with teary eyes ”I missed you mommy.” he said as he buried his face against your leg ”Oh ace, I missed you too honey.” you said in a soft tone before you knelt down to his eye level and picked him up. You straightened up with ace clinging to you, you looked up and saw Austin at the top of the staircase—overlooking the first floor, you maintained eye contact with him before looking away. He walked down the steps and towards you with ace’s backpack, he handed you the bag and ruffled ace’s hair ”Goodbye buddy, daddy’s going to miss you.” he said before ace shrugged him off with angry teary eyes ”I-I hate you! You replaced mommy!” ace cried out in a shaky tone before he buried his face against your chest, you glanced up and met Austin’s gaze. Austin’s jaw tightened as he reminded calm, controlling himself ”Ace, you have to understand that me and your mommy aren’t getting back together anymore.” he said stoically with a firm look while trying to explain it carefully but it was hard especially when he was explaining it to his 5 year old, then he met your gaze as if wanting you to cut in and try explaining to ace as well.
