You refused to sleep all the time.

Ryland was bad at it, but damn, you just refused to do it.

Even Rocky noticed it! Sometimes he’d go over to you while you overworked yourself and just sit over your work, not moving a muscle.

One day, the Hail Mary gently cruised the stars as Ryland came to check on you, knowing it was time to sleep soon.

Of course, as always, you were slumped over your work station, surrounded by empty coffee cups that littered the tabletop. He let out a sigh, wrapping his cardigan closer around himself, and he sat beside you.

“ It’s gonna be time to sleep soon. “

Ryland spoke softly, watching as you pinched your nose bridge.

“ And don’t even think about protesting. You’re not getting out of this. “

He watched as you rolled your eyes, looking over at him for a split second, then back at your work.

He hummed at your lack of response. He rolled his eyes, remembering something.

”You’re such a nerd. I could even fall asleep from it.”

Your past voice rang in his mind. He laughed, his full plan launching into action.

“ Did you know that there’s 1 septillion stars in the galaxy? “

He began.

“ And they’re all made of almost the same stuff, yet every one of them is different! “
