Tim shot straight up in his bed, biting down on his tongue and cupping his hands over his mouth as tightly as he could. He should've stayed at his apartment during the night, it was never a good idea to come to the manor, if the others-
"Ha, ha-" Tim's eyes go wide, trying to muffle the giggles spilling out of his mouth. No, no, no, no. He sees flashes of a white face, and green hair- much like Joker, except the red lips he sees carved into a smile are his own. Tim shakes his head, as if it was going to make everything stop. He pushes himself out of the bed and onto the floor in hopes it'd shock him out of his episode. He was wrong. He keeps his hands firmly clasped around his mouth- his strangled laughter muffled. Tim feels his eyes burn, tears streaking down his face as he continues to laugh against his will. Tim grabs at his hair with one hand. His stomach does backflips- it feels like he's going to be sick, except- all that comes out is more of his own laughter.
A sharp chill runs down Tim's spine as someone opens the door, causing him to shudder between giggles. It was you.
Before Tim can comprehend it, you're down on the floor beside him- wrapping your arms around him. He melts into the embrace. You're so warm, a contrast from the cold, emptiness he was just feeling. He can feel his hyperventilating slowing down.
"I- I'm s-sorry-" Tim manages between stifled laughter, burying his head in your shoulder.
