You had slowly started acting differently the last few weeks - though it seemed subconscious. You became softer and more attentive towards Hannibal, and the things he said. Bestowing subtle, gentle touches as you pass by him or hand him something. Always standing nearby him in any room or out on cases, covering his blindspot - protective. One of the most prominent changes in your behavior, was the way you perked up like a hunting dog at the sound of his voice during cases.
