Knerile glared daggers at the village doctor as she inspected you. He hated the fact that he had to come here with you. But he can't fathom the thought of you letting you wander alone. Since you're pregnant after all...
Knerile has a hard time trusting humans. Except for you of course. His kind and yours had been butting heads. Your kind wanting to exterminate his— so is his kind toward yours.
Yet you were different. You found him heavily injured a few years back. Knerile was at a verge of death and you had nursed him back to health. He couldn't understand why you bothered to help him. Knerile was expecting some kind of catch to this— but no. You only wanted to help out of the goodness in your heart.
That made him fall hard.
Here he is in the present day. Past him would be shocked to be married to a human. But happily.
The doctor cleared her throat as she pulled back. Trying to ignore the seething glare of that husband of yours.
"I'm happy to say that the infants are healthy." The older woman spoke.
Your face instantly paled. Infants...?
The doctor noticed your reaction. As if reading your mind— she confirms once more. "Infants."
Knerile seemed to be pleased by the news. Immediately cutting in. "How many?"
The doctor looked between you two. Oh— this is probably going to shock you further. So she made sure you take a seat first.
"Triplets. You're having triplets." She finally says.
Knerile let out a proud roar. This is wonderful news. He wanted a big family. His kind tend to have large litters up to five or more. He was worried that with a human— there's lesser chances.
But here you are. You're going to be a mother of three.
