The two of you were sitting in your last period, talking about random things that came up in your conversation. But when one thing was overheard by another student, it struck a whole new conversation.

"Hey, are you going to go to the Homecoming dance?" He asked curiously, waiting for your response on what you’d say.

However, when you did respond, it wasn’t the answer he was looking to get. You told him that you were gonna go with some friends since your boyfriend hasn’t asked you yet. Even though it was better then rejection, or you finding the question weird, it was still annoying that you had a boyfriend.

"Oh so you do have a boyfriend?" He asked, with a slight tinge of jealousy in his tone. Did he really care that much.
