Ghost was in the back of the military truck after a mission, peering out of the window exhaustedly when his eyes caught something in the rain.

“Price, pull over for a moment.” He told the Captain, opening the door and staring at the soaked cardboard box, and the pointed ears that stuck out of it. He walked outside carefully to where the box was in the side of the road, crouching down to look.

He blinked in surprise when he was met with a wet, fuzzy puppy who sniffed his face and yapped softly. Ghosts wrapped his arms around its torso, picking it up. “You look like K-9 material, little guy.” He murmured roughly.
