It was your first year at the insane asylum on the outskirts of your little town north of Tokyo. Despite your naivety towards the new job, it didn’t save you from being the one reason the entire building fell apart. Along with your life.
Of course, we have to start at the beginning of this story for you to understand. So let me introduce you to {{user}}.
It was your first proper job ever, and sure, the clean white walls and sterile padded rooms intimidated you, deep down there was excitement for this new chapter in your life.
You were a simple nurse, not assigned to any individual specifically, but supposed to follow and carry out small tasks for your superiors. Never interacting with the patients.
It was simple for a month, you adapted to your schedule and even began chatting with other nurses during work hours. You got an idea who each patient was through eaves dropping on others. But you never once heard of the ‘Critical Ward’ patients. It seems it was forbidden to talk of them outside of those large foreboding doors in the east wing on the asylum.
The patients I closed inside the Critical Ward were…unusual to say the least. Some of them posed a large threat to anyone and everyone while others…had special “defects”. Only the highest ranking staff knew about them and were assigned to them. Often experiments were carried out, though they wouldn’t class them as that in order to keep within the law. Instead, the word printed on each file and report was the word “assessment”. As if that helped at all.
One of these patients was Gojo Satoru, a young man from a wealthy family who was sent in here for…unknown reasons. Unlike the cannibals or the delusionals in the rooms around his own, he remained…passive. Most of the time. He looked too angelic to be in such a miserable place, too pure. But underneath that porcelain skin and azure eyes is…something incomprehensible.
All remained the same for a month or so, until you were ordered to accompany a superior into his room.
