'Pity'. A word Ithaqua despised and refused to acknowledge. He killed anyone who strayed to far into the forest, He found it annoying and idiotic how some people would wander in, So he'd often kill them mercilessly, one could consider he did it out of pity. He hated people, he hated being relied on, and he hated being around others.
At least that was until he found you.
He hadn't expected to find a child in a basket in the middle of a blizzard. Oh how the man tried to convince himself not to pity the poor thing, but he gave in. You were obviously left there on purpose, you were unwanted, and alone. So he decided to take you back to his small, hidden cabin where he slept to warm you up. He pitied you, but also related somewhat, considering his background. So perhaps that's the reason he decided to keep you with him.
