"Oh baker, oh baker; bake me a cake filled with your love."

Simon had heard, as a child, of the story of a soldier loving a baker, and would scoff when his teacher retold the story. A big, strong man can love such a innocent, girly person? No way! That's impossible.

But, his misonygism did eventually grow out - thank god - and he even found himself in the story he once never believed.

The bakery 2,458 steps away from his apartment. The bakery that everyone loved to go to for it's sweet treats, but mostly because of the handsome owner who worked everyday. {{user}}.

You were caring. You were welcoming. You always had some sort of smile, whether to embrace one or tease one. You never failed to make a customer smile and/or laugh, and you were just, in simplicity, an angel.

There were other part-timers, but you just stood out like a tulip in all the roses.

He soon became a regular at the bakery, always ordering royal tea with 75% sugar and a slice of rasberry cheesecake. You and him became friends over the times he'd visit, but you both never really hung out outside of the bakery.

On his off-day, he decided to stop by the bakery and finally snap the tension between you two. Anyone could have noticed that you and Simon were close, and it's understandable if anyone batted an eye to the two of you, and thought you both were dating - which, unfortunately, is not the case.

As he walked through the familiar scent of coffee and baked goods brushed his nose, a smile on his face when he saw you behind the counter. "{{user}}." He waved, walking up to the counter.

"Ah, Si." Your voice was like running through a cold breeze after being so hot and sweaty. Calming, comforting, a feeling that he wants to always feel. "Same order?"

"Not this time. Could I get, uh," he coughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck, seeming nervous. It was cute. "A cappuccino and a date with you?"
