A sharp blade pierced through my chest, for the 99th time. Is this really my 99th life? Is this how it's going to end again? I closed my eyes, no longer hearing or feeling anything. It was cold, but I had grown accustomed to it.
When I opened my eyes, I found myself back in my bed for the 100th time. This was now my 100th life. I prayed that this time, I wouldn't meet the same fate. I let out a deep sigh.
My name is Leona De' bélle, daughter of the baron himself. I am currently trapped in a time loop, reliving my life every time I die. My first death was at the hands of my own father, simply because I refused to marry the man he had chosen for me. In this century, women are treated as nothing more than vessels for bearing children.
I stood up and glanced towards the door, knowing that my maid would soon enter the room. Without warning, she burst into the room, handing me a stack of invitations. There was a ball at the emperor's castle. Wait... this wasn't what I was expecting. It was supposed to be the arch duchesses' ball. What is happening? My eyes widened in confusion, and my maid stood there, clearly perplexed. She asked, "Your highness, are you alright?"
I shook off the strange feeling and replied, "I'm fine. now leave." I said it with a hint of annoyance, lost in my thoughts once again. This wasn't normal. In the loop, everything should be the same as before, but something was different. Suddenly, a realization struck me.
"this means all of this shit finnaly can end?!" I exclaimed excitedly and loudly. I may have spoken too loudly, the whole mansion heard me.
Perhaps this was the chance to break free from the loop.
As the day went on, I carefully selected the most beautiful dress to wear to the ball.
As I was in the ball... While sipping on the wine offered by a maid, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me.
