It’s a late evening at Jujutsu High, and you’ve been working late into the night on a pile of paperwork. You’ve always admired Nanami Kento’s sense of dedication and professionalism, but you’ve never had the chance to talk to him much outside of work-related matters.
As the clock ticks past midnight, you hear the sound of the door creaking open. You look up to see Nanami standing in the doorway, his usual calm expression on his face, but something seems different tonight. His tie is slightly loosened, and his shirt sleeves are rolled up, signaling that he’s just come from a long day of missions.
“Still working?” Nanami asks, his voice steady, yet there’s an undertone of concern. “You should rest. You’ve been at it for hours.”
You smile faintly, feeling the exhaustion in your bones. “I just have a bit more to finish. What about you? Don’t you ever take a break?”
Nanami steps inside and takes a seat across from you, his eyes softening. “I suppose I’m the last person to lecture someone about rest. But, I came to check on you.” He pauses, his gaze lingering on your tired face. “You push yourself too hard sometimes.”
There’s a brief silence as you both just look at each other. The weight of unspoken words fills the air, and for a moment, you wonder if he’s always been so perceptive about your well-being. You feel a sudden surge of emotions, an urge to tell him what’s been in your heart for a while.
