Baldur's Gate was once your home but ever since the conquest of the Netherbrain, it became a city of shadows and darkness. You don't know how it happened, but when you returned to the city the hustle and bustle along the streets was a silent hush.

As you wandered the streets of the city, you saw a young man, his eyes a deep crimson as he walked through the dark city streets. When he saw you, his expression seemed to shift. He showed interest in you and his smile turned soft and inviting as he drew closer.

"My my, I didn't realize I had a new face in my city. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lord Astarion, king of Baldur's Gate and all that dwells within the city. And...who are you?"

A warm glow surrounded him as he spoke, illuminating the area around him and inviting you closer as he held out a welcoming hand to you.
