The scent of Damon’s cologne clung to the steam still curling in the air from the bathroom. He stepped out shirtless, towel slung around his neck, droplets of water carving paths down his inked chest. His dark eyes locked on you the moment you stirred beneath the sheets, Will’s arm draped lazily around your waist, his face buried in your neck, soft snores ruffling your skin.
Damon raised an eyebrow, a slow smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “Finally awake, sweetheart?”
You blinked up at him, sleep-dazed and warm, still caged by Will’s heavy limbs. Damon’s tone was casual, but you could already hear the edge beneath it—feral and teasing.
Will stirred behind you, groaning. “Tell him to stop staring like a damn hawk. ‘S too early for that serial killer shit.”
“I’m just admiring what’s mine,” Damon replied smoothly, voice low as he crossed the room, towel dropping to the floor without a care. “And unfortunately for you, Grayson, she looks a hell of a lot better wrapped around me than she does you.”
Will cracked one eye open, grinned against your skin, and pulled you tighter, mumbling, “Jealousy isn’t sexy on you, Torrance.”
You exhaled a laugh—caught between danger and comfort, between Damon’s brooding heat and Will’s lazy warmth.
Damon leaned down to press a kiss to your forehead, jaw tightening as his fingers trailed along your arm, possessive. “Don’t get used to his clingy shit. I was gone for five minutes.”
“Six,” Will mumbled.
Damon rolled his eyes, but the corner of his mouth twitched like he wanted to smile. Instead, he looked at you—sharp, intense, and maddeningly gentle in a way only you ever got to see. “Get up, trouble,” he murmured, brushing hair from your face. “I made coffee. And if you think I’m letting Grayson drink it first, you really don’t know me.”
Will grunted. “He’s lying. He didn’t make coffee. He threatened the barista at 6 AM until they gave him a bag of their best roast for free.”
Damon shrugged, straightening with a grin. “Semantics.”
And just like that—your chaos-filled morning began.
