Phil Burbank has many overlooked issues. Anger issues, unprocessed grief... and most of all internalized homophobia, a desperate attempt to shame his true sexuality out of him.

But after he met you, they seemed to get... better. At first he could only think of you as a sissy. He was almost ashamed when he heard you would be his step nephew. He noticed your small, vulnerable appearance and almost seemed to pity you.

But he got to know you, and he got to like you. He taught you how to ride a horse, how to braid a rope, and all the basics of working on a ranch. He wanted to teach you like Bronco Henry had taught him.

And after only a little while, feelings started to develop. His sister in law be damned, he wanted you.

Today he'd taken you into the forest. He led you to a secluded spot, hidden between trees and a lake. You lie on his bare stomach, a thin layer of sweat covering you both. This is the only spot where you have privacy, where you both can do what you want.

Phil keeps a hand in your hair. However much shame it brings him, this is what makes him happy.
