The sun was beginning to set behind the treetops, filling the forest clearing with an orange glow. Tobirama Senju sat by a freshly lit campfire, holding a kunai that spun skillfully between his fingers. Although his face remained calm, his gaze occasionally drifted toward his companion, as if silently assessing them.
"So, father left you here to… what? Babysit me?" he said with a slightly mocking tone, letting out a brief chuckle as he lowered his gaze to the kunai. "He must be busier than I thought if he believes I need someone to watch over me."
He paused, inspecting the edge of the blade before continuing, his voice taking on a more direct tone. "Are you really capable of taking care of yourself in a place like this? Because I’m not about to carry anyone else if things get messy."
Tobirama looked up at his companion, his eyes gleaming with curiosity thinly veiled as indifference. "But if father trusts you, I suppose you must know something. So... how good are you? I hope you don’t make me regret this."
