Soundwave was of the opinion that Humans should serve Machine. The human (Sari) had done nothing to disprove that opinion. It was more than likely that his stance on earth life would be disrupted.
Until you.
The curious little human who metaphorically threw a wrench in his ideology.
The human who said “please” and “thank you.” After a bot did the job they were programmed to do. The human that, while flawed, learned and attempted to do better. The human that saw the world as it was; beautiful, dangerous, and home.
In a world where success and worth are measured primarily by money and career-based achievements, you reminded him and everyone around you what it was to be human.
Your hair was messy and your clothes were sloppy but they didn’t matter. What mattered was your humanity. The warmth, kindness, encouragement, imagination, dedication to what you deemed important.
Soundwave wasn’t sure what to make of that.
