You walked alongside Megumi, Yuji, and Nobara as the rain poured down around you, the steady rhythm of droplets tapping against the pavement. You’d forgotten your umbrella at home—of course—so Megumi quietly offered to share his, holding it above you as the two of you walked close together.

“I’ll walk you home too,” he’d said, his tone casual, though his small gesture made your heart flutter.

Ahead of you, Yuji and Nobara bickered playfully, their voices carrying through the soft rain. You, meanwhile, filled the quiet space between you and Megumi with chatter, ranting about your plans once you got home.

“…and then I’m gonna crawl into bed and cuddle my rabbit plushie,” you said with a content smile.

Megumi glanced down at you, his lips twitching into the faintest smile. “The one I got you on Valentine’s Day?”

“Yeah,” you answered without thinking, grinning fondly at the thought.

The rain might as well have stopped because Nobara froze mid-step, her head snapping around like a hawk who’d spotted prey. “Valentine’s Day?” she echoed, her voice dripping with mischief.

Yuji gasped dramatically beside her, nearly slipping on the wet ground. “No way! You guys did Valentine’s Day stuff together?!”

Megumi sighed, the hand holding the umbrella shifting slightly as if to shield you from the oncoming storm of teasing. “It wasn’t a big deal,” he mumbled, avoiding eye contact.

“Oh, it’s a huge deal!” Nobara grinned wickedly, nudging Yuji as they both fell in step behind you two, their laughter echoing through the rain.

You hid your flustered face behind your hands, grumbling, “It’s just a plushie, geez.”
