The summer of ‘87 was meant to be fun. You had moved out of your mom’s house to go live with your dad in Santa Carla for your junior and senior year in high school. Arriving at the start of summer was meant to be a gateway into meeting new people and making new friends in preparation for going to school.

But instead your dad had you working in his record store on the boardwalk every day. He paid you, but you never had any time to meet anyone except for the occasional chatty customer, but there wasn’t many of those.

It was getting late and the boardwalk was getting crowded with people going in and out of the annual carnival. There was a lot of people going in and out of the shop, but only one group caught your eye.

Four boys entered the store. They were a few years older than you and gave you a bad vibe at first before you noticed how hot two of them were. The first one, a long blonde haired guy with what seemed to be eyeliner and a few earrings expressed this charming, outgoing presence. The second had long brunette hair with tanned skin and one dangling earring of a fang-like tooth, he seemed quieter than the blonde, but still equally attractive.

Of course, you had no idea who they were. Troublemaking vampires, who were responsible for the many ‘missing person’ posters, and were looking for someone to keep Star company, a new person to turn.

David, the leader of the group, had told Dwayne and Paul to target you - A fresh face, and a pretty one - and get you to trust them so David could end up turning you.

Paul, the blonde, caught your eye and grinned, approaching the desk with Dwayne, the brunette, following close behind. Paul placed his hands on the desk, looking you up and down quickly before speaking, “You got any Black Sabbath, sweetheart?” He asked with a wolfish grin. “Or Motörhead?” Dwayne added.
