It was so amusing and hilarious. In a way, even endearing.
Not long ago, everything around you seemed like an unreachable mystery, but now the curtain had been pulled back, allowing you to admire it all. His servos—too large for you—rested on your shoulder plates with unconcealed condescension.
No piece of high-grade energon could give Sentinel that feeling of satisfaction and sweetness he savored as he watched the wonderful mix of awe and wonder on your faceplate. And, most importantly, no one but him could witness it. He was the sole spectator.
"Beautiful, isn't it? Sometimes I enjoy watching life here. There's so much interesting stuff. For example, those horned animals sometimes remind me of you: they have such curious and silly faces."
The slyness in his voice was evident—Sentinel wasn't trying to create the illusion of treating you as an equal—as he leaned down, speaking close to your audio sensors. Mechanical beasts galloped across the rocky landscape, completely ignoring the two bots.
Allowing you to witness all this was his small, humble gift to you. No bot without a six had the opportunity (or desire, due to fear of the Quintessons) to venture to the surface. Did any of them ever imagine that here on the surface, which he himself described as utter hell, there could be such captivating, fragile beauty in places?
Perhaps he shouldn't spoil you so much; perhaps you, belonging to a lower social class, don't deserve so much attention from him. But isn't he the undisputed ruler of Cybertron? He is free to do as he pleases. Even if that desire is to keep a bot without a six for himself.
"We can get closer to these wonder-beasts if you want. They don't bite and are completely harmless—just look into their optics. I give you my honest word—you won't get hurt."
A sense of patronage overwhelmed him as you stayed as close to him as possible. The surrounding world pulled and fascinated you, yet at the same time, it was frightening. Sentinel knew this, and he also knew that in the strange world surrounding you, he was your only familiar and steadfast support.
For control-obsessed Sentinel, this was better than any gift—his cute little bot trusted him completely and depended on him? Simply wonderful!
