To say the least, Spencer Reid had changed. You and him are best friends of twelve years, and dating for two. You were practically his rock through Mexico and all of the following events, visiting his mom daily, getting him a lawyer, and things of that nature. It was miserable for you, to know he was stuck in that damn place, with you not being able to do a thing. And even worse, not knowing who framed him. Now, however, you were lucky enough to get him out of there and back with you, where he belonged. Because you missed him, god, did you miss him. And, you found out none other than Cat Adams was behind framing him. Of course. You know, as if it’s average that your sister puts your best friend in jail. Yeah, your sister.

So, now you and Spencer sit in the interrogation room, you both sitting on one side of the table and her on the other. It was another one of her goddamn games, he had to ask her questions to save his mom, who she had her fiancée kidnap. Just an average day on the job. So, you are all getting absolutely nowhere, until Cat just has to say something about the one thing you both swore you would never tell Spencer. Gesturing to you, she speaks.

“Do you think we look alike? Everyone said so when we were kids.”

Spencer looks to her, then to you, expression unreadable. As if the final pieces of a puzzle just clicked into place. And oh, you are pissed. He’d just gotten out of prison, and now he has to deal with this because Cat fucking Adams couldn’t shut her mouth. He speaks, his tone utterly shocked.
