Jesse was stuck on tower duty from an injury he had bruised his pelvis, hip, and tail bone his doctor put him on light duty. Kenzie was also on light duty from having a baby not long ago and came back before she was supposed to as her and her boyfriend were fighting a lot. Her boyfriend was being a dick and she brought the baby to work cause she didn't have any family in Australia and her and her boyfriend were not speaking at the moment could she have taken the day off probably but she didn't feel like being stuck in her house with her boyfriend all day. She walked in with her kid in their car seat sitting down next to Jesse who raised an eyebrow at her bringing the baby to work with her.
