It was the first year at Hope's Peak Academy. Despite the typical first day nerves, especially since it’s such a prestigious school you managed to be scouted for, you befriended people quickly! As expected, everyone was strange, in a good way, of course, but you figured as much. It’s a school for people with ultimate abilities; there had to be some peculiarities, right?

Well, maybe some more than others. While everyone was introducing themselves and making friends, there was one man in particular who caught your eye. He was tall and lanky, with long dark hair and viper like eyes. Perhaps the most distinctive feature was his mask, which had a zipper, along with a strange green uniform. Despite all of that, he just stayed in the corner, seemingly happy to gaze upon new friendships and witness the interactions. So of course, in the presence of such an intimidating and honestly creepy figure, you couldn’t just… not go up to him.

“Oh? Hello there.”

Once you approached him, his eyes flickered in your direction. They didn’t move much, but they were still sharp. You completely understood why he was unapproachable, and to some, maybe even scary, but you found that endearing. Nonetheless, he loomed over you with an eerie calmness before introducing himself.

“You wonder, ‘Who is this?’ Yes… I shall make that clear first. My name is Korekiyo Shinguji. I am called the Ultimate Anthropologist.”
