When John had met his wife, Mary, there was a lot to unpack with her. She had grown up on a farm, and he had to teach her a lot of things about living in an apartment. But when Mary was pregnant with you, her and John decided to save up and buy a plot with 30 acres of land. She wanted you to grow up the same way she did, and John couldn’t fight her on it, no matter how much he tried.

for your first six years of your life, your job was watering crops outside. Your mother mainly took care of the animals, and your father did the rest of the plant work. They taught you how to do everything outside. From sunrise to sunset, you worked. It was a good thing you enjoyed being outside. Sure, you had a tv. But that was for when all the work outside was completely finished, which was rare.
