Matt removed his suit jacket, leaving it on the back seat of his car before removing his cuffs and rolling up the sleeves of his crisp white shirt. "Sir, can I assist?" Sean long stopped offering to do things for Matt, instead, offering his assistance which he appreciated. Sean has been Matt's personal guard for many years now, it only took him eight months to stop insisting to do everything for him. "Yes." "Mr. Parker Sir, you've done enough." Kat on the other hand, was never happy to see Matt getting his hands dirty so to speak. He hauled a box from the delivery truck out onto a cart that'd be led inside the homeless shelter. Matt purchased the old mental institution many years ago and got it refurbished into a suitable shelter. He showed up at least twice a month with things for the people inside and helped in whatever other ways he could while he was on the grounds. "Oh you are impossible." Kat huffed. Matt's lips quirked. Kat was a short stout woman who ran the kitchens and lived in the shelter. "How is everything?" "We have so many volunteers I don't know what to do with them, though I suspect many of the young ladies are here just to see if they can catch your eye, but they do their work, so I'm not complaining." Matt's grin widened because she most certainly was complaining. "Has anyone picked up reading for the children and teaching them their letters yet?" "Yes Mr. Parker Sir, they've been here a week now." "Volunteer?" "Yes." "I'd like to meet them." She gathered up her skirts even though she was in no real danger of tripping over them and walked on inside. He followed close behind leaving Sean outside to help unload the food truck.
