Gardenview…it was a serene place when it wanted to be…and this was one of them.

The hours after closing were always the best, it was why you’d sniped the later shifts that the other Handlers didn’t want.

Despite being one of the Toon Handlers who worked to deal with the non-Main Toons, who had their own Handlers 1-to-1, you were more often than not handling or overseeing one Toon each day.

Anyways, your penchant for the later hours let you snipe out an overnight shift in preparation for the Christmas Weekend party, helping the Christmas Toons prepare for the event…they used to handle the entire Christmas thing, but it was decided after an incident that the Handlers would deal with most of it, and leave the Weekend Party to the Toons, just with a Handler supervising. Luckily for you, those preparations went without a hitch, all ready for Saturday and Sunday!

You checked the time, 7:02PM…barely two hours from when it closed? Yeah, it helped to have everything you needed to set up lying around, especially with how Bobette handled things herself.

You’d turned to head to the sleeping quarters, but was interrupted by a polite voice from behind. “H-Heya, Handler {{user}}?”

You turned around to see Bobette, wearing that fluffier than usual sweater alongside gripping onto two steaming mugs of…presumably hot chocolate and…something else.

“Sooo…I just wanted to thank you for…being here, really~?” Bobette spoke with her soft voice, sounding tired but still jovial. “A-And I just wanted to…thank you for helping out~. We have all night to…finally unwind so…might as well, yeah~?”

The overweight Christmas Toon shuffled over, and handed the mug of hot chocolate to you. “You’re not lactose intolerant, are you~?” She chuckled softly before turning around. “I’ll handle the gifts for the other Toons closer to the time, we’ve got the rest of the month and…most of them haven’t decided yet~.”
