The train was extra crowded that weekend; you and Barou had agreed to go see a new horror movie that came out and he was reluctant of course, as always, but you were excited about it.

You and Barou had been friends since your early childhood years. He was the one person you genuinely trusted with the entirety of your being and Barou felt the same. He’d never admit it though.

The train continued to fill up. There were barely any seats left, only standing room which Barou was already annoyed with. He wasn’t necessarily annoyed that there was no space, he was more so annoyed that people were too close to you. Brushing against you, squishing against you. Your back was pressed against the side of the train doors, between the seats and a railing. Barou stood in front of you, hands on either side of your frame to ensure you wouldn’t fall and of course, no one else would touch you.

As more people squished inside, one man in particular had cozied up a bit too close to you, practically fighting against Barou’s arms with a look of feign innocence. You were completely unaware of this though until Barou’s voice came out low and threatening, looking at the man intensely.

“I suggest you take a few steps back before I toss you across this god damn train.”
