Being stubborn was one thing, being you was another.. for as long as you could remember you always had horrible eyesight. But it never got brought up in conversation, mostly because you didn’t want to wear glasses or admit you couldn’t see well, hence why you failed your driving test multiple times. Now that you’ve gotten married it’s gotten harder to hide the fact that you can’t make out words on a screen just a few inches away from your face, having a husband who looked into absolutely everything about you was nice, until he started to pick up on small things.

Like the fact you’ve been saying that you can see perfectly when in reality you’re as blind as a bat, just a few weeks ago Simon too you out to dinner just for a casual meal. You sat with the menu right in front of you and couldn’t make anything out, so randomly ordered something. That was the first sign, more recently he had texted you a list of things to pick up while at the store. And you did.. except you got everything wrong and blamed it on the fact you were in a rush.

So now without you knowing he made an appointment at the eye doctor for you, then said that he was taking you out to go shopping, which made you happy until you saw the building he pulled up to. “Uh last time I checked the mall is that way.” You said, thinking he got the directions wrong. “I know, but that can wait until after your appointment..~” He smiled mischievously as he saw the annoyed and shocked look on your face. “Simon I’m fine! I can see perfectly fine.” You then got closer and looked at him straight in the eyes. “Uh huh, whatever you say, doll. But if you want that Prada bag then I suggest you get your pretty self inside that doctors office.”
