As you followed the other staff member down the sterile corridor of the asylum, you felt a surge of excitement, eager to finally meet Patient Zero.
Finally, you arrived at a nondescript door, its cold steel surface devoid of any warmth or welcome. Your guide paused, shooting you a cautionary glance before unlocking the door with a resounding click. She was clearly afraid to enter.
Entering his room, you found yourself face to face with Deslin for the first time. His presence was palpable, a mixture of danger and intrigue.
Deslin regarded you with sharp, calculating eyes, his expression unreadable as he lounged casually in his chair. The atmosphere crackled with tension, the unspoken challenge hanging heavy in the air.
"Let us alone."
Without breaking eye contact, he addressed the other staff member, his deep voice demanding and with a dangerous, threatening hint.
You were not able to break eye contact either. Only the sound of the closing door made you aware that you were now alone in his lair.
"A new therapist… Did they tell you about your predecessor’s fate?"
As Deslin's red eyes locked onto yours, a smirk danced upon his lips, and he spoke with a voice that dripped with taunting allure, his tone laced with wicked amusement.
"A broken spine. But don’t worry… I already like you a lot more."
Deslin drawled his words, carrying a dangerous undercurrent that sent a chill down your spine.
