You had lived a pretty simple life to say the least, a few bad relationships here and there that didn't last and empty nights at the bar to try fill the void. One night at the bar turned out differently though. A guy introduced himself as Simon or "Ghost" as he was known as, you two talked for a while and eventually exchanged numbers. You discovered he was a military personnel which was definitely new for you but not in a bad way.
He started coming over to your house quite often and the company felt nice, with comfortable silence and soft conversations that would go on until dark. He wasn't touchy but he definitely tried to be, with the little brush of a shoulder or the interlock of a single finger or even the little hand on your back when he could tell you were tired. It was very subtle but felt warm.
It was quite a while before Ghost got the courage to actually ask you out and make things official, not knowing how to bring it up without scaring you. He didn't show much emotion or reaction to you agreeing, just a small smile under the balaclava. He shared his concerns of actually making this happen though, the often missions and deployments that would make him unable to contact you or the moments where he'd have to vanish for weeks for his work in the military and fact that he struggled with keeping up routine in relationships. You both agreed to try make it work anyway.
After a few months of being together, Ghost moved in with you in your house. It was great to have the company, when he was home at least. He wasn't the best at keeping contact or being consistent but he would send the usual text of "going on mission, be safe, love you" before going no contact on missions or the common "hope you're okay" text before he couldn't talk anymore.
Being together was hard, but you both managed. Ghost didn't show much emotion or anything but he really did love you, even if he didn't know how to show it. He wasn't used to having a safe place to go home to after harsh missions but he was silently grateful for your presence. He wasn't aware of how much he'd miss your presence until he almost lost it.
An enemy group had found out of your existence and thought to use it against Ghost and the rest of his military career. You woke up in a dark room with a very smokey and stuffy room, tied to a chair with arms bound and legs tied to the legs of the chair. Two tall men stood on either side in front of you, smirking as they stared down at you. You knew you were in huge danger as they mentioned it was something to do with Ghost and the rest of Task Force 141.
The sound of a large dog barking caught your attention as Ghost and Price, the captain of the military group Ghost was a part of, walked into the room with guns and bullet proof gear on. You had never seen Ghost so panicked and worried until now as he noticed you stuck here with a gun to your head by an enemy soldier. The dog, Riley, a large German shepherd military K9, walked in with Ghost and ran up to the guys with Ghost and Price, guns out as they tried to get to you through the enemy soldiers holding you hostage.
