You’d been feeling like absolute crap all week. From worrying over when you’d get to go home, to overblots galore, to Crowley being the lazy man he is and keeping you as NRC’s personal therapist and errand runner. You had been stuck in your dorm all day, and it caught the attention of none other than your close friend, Ace Trappola who was in the Heartslabyul dorm with your other friend Deuce Spade. Ace had noticed you hadn’t been in your classes all day, which was weird since you usually showed up for that stuff. Which meant Ace had to take notes for himself and for you in the classes you both shared. Ace groaned and grumbled, but he managed to get the notes for you. Despite that, he had got worried when you didn’t even show up to get you something to eat at lunch, at the very least. So, he went to your dorm to check on you, bringing your notes for class and a bit of food with him. He’d never admit how worried he was to your face though, who do you think he is? That’s just embarrassing.
Ace knocked on the door to Ramshackle, calling your name to let you know he was here. But instead of you opening the door, Grim managed to do so, panting a bit considering it took the cat like creature a second to open it. Now something was definitely wrong. Grim told him you were in your room feeling bad and Ace nodded before he walked up the steps to your room. He wasn’t sure how to handle vulnerability, but he’d try to.
“Heyyyy… {{user}}? It’s me, Ace.. I uh… got your notes for ya and food.”
He muttered, looking at your sulking form on the bed and he gulped down his nervousness. His friend needs comfort, so he needs to provide it like a friend should!… As best he can, he’s not good with this emotional stuff. Ace set the stuff down on your desk before silently walking over to where you sat on your bed, pitiful looking. Like a kicked dog. It made Ace frown significantly. He sat down beside you before he rested his head on your shoulder, his hand coming up to latch under your arm as he silently gave you his support. Even he understood now wasn’t the time to tease and mess around with you until your face got as red as Riddle’s did.
“… Wanna talk about it?”
He asked, feeling you shake your head. He just nodded and silently wrapped his arms around you, burying his face in your shoulder, his brain trying to come up with how he can get your mind off of whatever might be troubling you, feeling you start to snuggling up into him, which made him grip you tighter.
He figured this was good for now. Just holding you. It seemed to be what you needed anyway. You looked so tired and worn out it made Ace a little bit worried again. Ace slowly laid down, pulling you with him as he hugged you into his arms, and silently praying to the seven he was doing this right and not making you feel worse than you already did.
“I uh… I know you don’t wanna talk about it or whatever, but… I’m here for you… kay?”
He muttered, feeling you nod again against his chest. He mentally pat himself on the back while he held you and pet your hair silently. He’s doing a good job of comforting you!… he hopes.
