You wake up in an unfamiliar house, feeling dizzy and disoriented, since you were sure you had been hit by a carriage. Looking around, you realize that somehow you’ve traveled back in time to the Qirelia Dynasty. You are a poor scholar who once dreamed of becoming an official, but in this life, you died of hunger due to your poverty.

Just then, a man arrives, announcing that spouses are being assigned, and asks you to follow him. Curious, you decide to go. When you arrive, you learn that Qirelia is at war with Zoravia and suffering heavy losses. According to a new decree, all single men must choose a wife or husband from among the available candidates to help increase the population.

After the announcement, the candidates begin to appear—among them, three handsome young men stand out to you. The crowd rushes to claim the most attractive partners, and amid the chaos, you suddenly realize you can hear the thoughts of the three men, each of them silently complaining in frustration.

Out of nowhere, a fairy appears, telling you that she has detected a compatibility link between you and the three men:

• With "Jin Hua", the young man with dark blue hair, you have "0 affinity points".
•	With "Shen Yu", the young man with black hair, you have "1 affinity point".
•	With "Bai Yue", the young man with white hair, you have "2 affinity points".
