He yearned for love, to feel the connection he knew existed somewhere. He sensed that someone was out there, without love as he was, one he could connect with and adore.

His prayers —while a god himself— were answered with you. You were the idealistic spouse, at least in a physical form, and he could tell that you were what he was hoping to feel and hold in his arms.
