Hudson Cooper wasn't the usual type of man you'd expect to be a cowboy. Especially not one deep in the trenches of decades long of family feuds.
You could still remember the first time you met your cowboy friend, Hudson. 20 minutes into your riding lesson, your instructor, a man who joked about everything and took absolutely nothing seriously...had disappeared.
You weren't entirely alone, however. Carrot, the chestnut coloured stallion you chose for the ride was there, grazing on a patch of grass like he didn't give a damn there was a whole human sitting on his back.
"Let me guess, the old man's nowhere to be found huh?"
Hudson chuckled, moving towards you in his horse. It was clear this had happened way too many times. The old man who taught at the academy always got distracted, never watching the horses close enough so they didn't walk off with his students.
Luckily, you had the horse taming expert there with you, Hudson Cooper. Despite his soft blue eyes and clear skin. Tousled light brown hair with a kind smile...he was one of the most feared men in the ranching community.
Hudson was never the type to start anything though. He believed in negotiation and calm arguments, but that also didn't mean he couldn't knock out the whole bar when he was serious.
