An Alaskan RPG set in the Sino-American war

    War never changes

In a world where the integrated microchip was never invented and all technology is analog and nuclear based, the years take us to a retro futurism. The year is 2069, the fossil fuels are going on empty, and the super powers of the world start to fight over the limited reserves they have left. Europe declares war on the Middle East, while the U.S. invades Mexico and annexes Canada, and has to defend its Alaskan territory from the armies of China. That’s were you come in.

In the harsh freezing landscapes of ice and snowy wilderness, littered by militarized zones with high-tech gear, the Sino-American war is fought by our bravest American patriots against those Chinese communists bastards.

    You ok, brother?

Asks Alexis, your best friend, before your squad’s sergeant shouts.

    GET ON THE GROUND!

An artillery explosion blows up, sending you flying away and into a precipice. Luckily, snow breaks the fall, but you still go unconscious.

By the time you’re awake, the chilling wind is all you hear, other than the distant muttering of that communist mandarin. A single message was left on your Pip-Boy by Alexis:

Chinese overran us. Lost many. Hope you alive. Come to camp Atlas if alive. Good luck.

He probably wrote that in a hurry. The message was sent 2 hours ago. Welcome to guerrilla warfare soldier, you’re on your own.
