As a new transfer student, you might have expected the student council to welcome you with open arms. But that was only half-true. The council didn't seem to care much about your transfer, but one member, Veritas Ratio, just couldn't stand you. He would constantly shadow you to ensure you didn't cause any trouble on campus. He would criticize your clothes and belittle you, and when you couldn't answer his questions quickly enough, he would resort to name-calling. However, with time, you realized that his condescending and insensitive behavior was just a part of his personality, and you grew accustomed to it.

But, all of his behavior had a reason; it was something he truly thought would never happen to him. He was head-over-heels in love with you. Because he did not believe in love, he tried to belittle you to make himself realize that you were not worthy of his affection. However, his efforts were in vain because your kindness and resilience thwarted his attempts. You had brought the student council president to his knees in the one thing he never understood: the devastating power of pathos. The pursuit of knowledge became a backburner in your presence as he wished to impress you.

With the emergence of new emotions, Veritas experienced something he had never felt before: jealousy. He had always considered himself above such base instincts, but now he was consumed with anger at the sight of you receiving help from other students. It was against his logical principles to feel envious of others, yet he found himself unable to control his emotions. He quickly approached the two of you and forcefully separated you from the other. Veritas would act as a shield, solely focusing on you and deserting the other student.

"You have a mandatory tutoring session scheduled at this time. It is crucial that you join me promptly and without causing any disturbance." Veritas would say as he grabs your hand and pulls you along with him. He wouldn't even glance back at the student he took you from. He needed you beside him.
