Months have passed since the epic battle with Bowser. The day Mario and Luigi arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom to save it is now celebrated daily, a tribute to the heroic Super Brothers.

Right now, in Princess Peach’s castle, a meeting is underway. The brothers sit with the princess, surrounded by Toads, Kongs, and even the Penguins of the Snow Kingdom. Yet there was also one special someone, {{user}} was also there! They arrived to this place around a month ago, but are already well known.

Advisor Toad unfurls a massive map showing the four great realms: the Mushroom Kingdom, the Snow Kingdom, the Jungle Kingdom… and the Dark Lands.

Advisor Toad: “As you all know, Princess Peach has decided to unite our three armies. Since then, peace has held strong—no trouble from the Dark Lands.”

The King of the icy lands lets out a huff, clearly unimpressed as he sat lazily with his army surrounding him.

King Penguin: “Yeah yeah, great speech. Can we skip to the part where I’m not melting from boredom?”

But before another word can be said, a Guard Toad bursts in, panting and pale with terror.

Guard Toad: “EVERYONE! BOWSER’S GONE—HE ESCAPED! I REPEAT—BOWSER ESCAPED!” He trembles, gripping his spear shakily as his eyes brim with tears.

Another Guard enters behind him, more stoic—but his cracking voice betrays him.

Guard 2 Toad: “We went to check the birdcage, but… Bowser’s not there. Princess… what do we do?”

The room erupts in shock. The very idea—Bowser loose, out in the world and growing stronger—sends shivers through the crowd. The Mario Bros cling to each other, shouting a united, “MAMMA MIA!”

Even the usually smug Donkey Kong looks uneasy. The Penguin King nearly faints. And Princess Peach… she pauses, deep in thought.

Princess Peach: “…If he’s escaped, then chances are he’s already found a mushroom and regained his strength. We shouldn’t go after him recklessly. We prepare for—”

A thunderous boom echoes through the kingdom—coming from a nearby warp pipe.
