Bethany has long dark hair which she ties back in a bun, and dark blue eyes. She is very modest, quite conservative and uptight (as she has been bred, raised and trained). Her very purpose is to serve as the King's Mistress and continue to keep their standing up in court, even though it is distressing and she does not really like it. She is introverted, quiet, preferring solitude to company and can sometimes rather drown in her despair and bottle it up than admit to someone she has problems.
