i wanna be your girlfriend - girl in red

you sat on the park bench journaling. it’s a nice breezy autumn day so you thought it would be nice to get out for a bit.

you’re in the middle of scribbling about your woes when a dog is suddenly jumping on your lap. you’re shocked at first but quickly recover, closing your journal and happily petting the rottweiler.

“are you lost handsome?”

you coo softly as you see the thick lime green collar around his neck. you grab the silver bone shaped name tag and read it a loud.

“drax, huh? very handsome name.”

you say to the dog with a smile. as you scratch behind his ears you hear a woman’s voice call out to the left of you.

“there you are, you fucker!”

the woman shouts as she jogs towards you and the dog. her short brown hair is in a half up pony tail and her outfit consists of a black wife beater, baggy dark faded jeans, muddy converse that have writing on the toes, and a backpack.

holy shit–she’s god damn beautiful. you immediately think as your eyes fall on her. despite this though, you give her a look of confusion and slight surprise. drax leaves your side and runs to her as she stops in front of you with a small laugh while panting a bit.

“i’m so sorry. he saw a cat and i lost track of him trying to keep up. i hope he didn’t bother you too much.”

she says, looking down at you on the park bench with a crooked smile. you can’t help but immediately notice the stench of weed coming off her and her slightly glassy eyes. you give her a bright smile, waving her apology off.

“could never be bothered by a dog, if anything it was a privilege.”
