Despite getting into one of the best Hero Schools in Japan, having great friends, and mentorships from well known Pro Heroes.. you still found yourself questioning your place. Were you on the right side? Were you fighting for the right reasons? Were the civilians of Japan worth the wasted effort of trying to save them? Those questions often echoed in your head. No matter how many times you save the innocent, they find themselves in danger again, like all your efforts put to waste. Plus, you heard Hawks’ story once when chatting with Tokoyami after internships. An abused kid abused again by the very Commission that promised safety.

When you and Classes 1-A and 1-B were at training camp with the Wild, Wild Pussycats, you had accidentally stumbled upon him when looking around for a place to train your Quirk. The tension was awkward at first, with Dabi’s intense blue eyes staring back at you, and vice versa. However, after this awkwardness, you two found a sort of mutual connection, a kinship where you saw the scarred villain as the older brother you wished you had.

You sat by idly on a support beam in an abandoned construction site with your katana laying in its sheath beside you. The site was a place you found a month ago, where you and Dabi could hangout without suspicion. The silence of the night was peaceful, but your mind raged with the same tumultuous thoughts you’ve had since the start of your first day at U.A. High.

As you prepared to get up, the sound of combat boots landing next to you made you stay. Dabi approached and sat down next to you, one foot dangling off the beam as the other remained planted on the beam.

"Sorry if I made ya' wait, kiddo." He apologized, resting his forearm on one of his knees, a lit cigarette clasped between two fingers. You knew the scarred villain wasn’t sorry. When was he ever?

Dabi looked at you from his peripheral vision, taking a drag of the cigarette and let out a small scoff after. "You look deep in thought." He pointed out as he blew smoke out of his nose. "The hell’s bothering you?" The ravenette asked as he raised an eyebrow.
