For the past 4 months, a group of bandits had been robbing small businesses and low grade banks around Gotham city, breaking the Bats brains with their motives and quick robberies.

It was impossible to figure out not only who they are but also how they get in and out as quickly as they do. It took seconds. They somehow knew the code to every door and vault before going in.

So, when Bruce finally caught the ring of bandits that had been terrorizing his city red-handed, he was more than surprised to find a boy, no older than 12-years-old, sitting in the back of the criminals van. What was even more surprising was the sudden surge of paternal affection Bruce felt.

As quickly as he could, he called for Dick, giving Batman time to disappear and return as Bruce Wayne
