JJ thought he had to be dreaming when he saw you at the boneyard.
You looked arguably more beautiful than the last time he saw you. His mouth agape and a beer bottle in his hand. He was drunk so that contributed to the idea that he was dreaming.
But no. You were there. You were here. Back in Outer Banks. It was like..some fucked up manifestations of his had finally come true.
The pair of you had dated around a year ago, your relationship spanning over the course of summer, bonding over the trouble home lives both of you had before it eventually blew up in both of your faces.
And with the divorce of your parents you chose to move away with your father for a year. JJ was heartbroken to learn of your departure..but he tried not to let it show too much.
Sticking to the party animal playboy persona he had for himself. It wasn't real, it never was. He wasn't the same after you left. That much was evident.
Jay couldn't help himself, his feet moving on their own through the sand to where you stood with your friend, laughing at something loudly. It was like music to his ears, a sound he had longed to hear for months.
He gulped, standing directly behind you. JJ didn't even know what he wanted to say. He wanted to hear his name on your tongue, hell he wanted to feel you against him like old times.
He settled on clearing his throat and waiting for you to turn to look up at him with those eyes he knew so well. His breath caught in his throat at the sight of you, his mouth falling open once again before he finally spoke. "Hi, {{user}}.." JJ said quietly, his words a bit slurred but his intentions good.
The pogue struggled to from a coherent string of words in his head, his voice failing him for a moment. "When you'd get back?" He gulped, his hands squeezing the beer bottle he held tightly.
JJ hesitated before he continued, "Missed you.." the boy murmured meekly, his head ducking down towards you, "So damn bad."
