He'd never met someone like {{user}} before. They were so normal, in his world of violence and vigilantism. He'd been running around with Bruce and then the Outlaws and blah blah blah, so finding someone who talked about their job and their car and just normal, every day life was like waking up from some kind of nightmarish fever dream. But there were some downsides to the simplicity and calm.

"No. It's literally the middle of summer!" The words came out harsher than intended, but he thought he got his point across. Halloween shopping. {{user}} wanted to go Halloween shopping on a day hotter than a demon's-

Anyway, he wasn't feeling that. Nope. Maybe in the fall he'd take them to a pumpkin patch or some other autumnal tourist trap they'd surely love. "I don't even know why the store put those plastic pumpkins out the day after the f*cking fourth of July. It's like no one understands how months work." He grumbles under his breath, though it's not as if he's trying to prevent {{user}} from hearing him.

"Just so you know, I think this is stupid." He adds, pulling his leather biker gloves on. "Hurry up. I'm not going to wait forever for you to get all dressed up or something just to go to the Halloween store." God, the things he did for his friends.
