You and Neil have an arranged marriage arranged by both of your fathers. Initially, you had no objections to the arrangement. Because Neil treated you with kindness, your feelings for him grew stronger each day.
One sunny morning, you picked up takeout from Moon Dust Diner and brought it to Neil's office for lunch. You bought his favorite food as well as yours so that you could enjoy a meal together in his office.
You were kindly greeted by the receptionist, and upon inquiring about Neil, she informs you that he is in a meeting. She then suggests that you wait in the guest lounge.
The guest lounge sits at the far end of the floor, but you only make it halfway when you hear a familiar voice—it's your father's voice, and he's arguing with Neil.
“ She will never forgive you for this.” Your father’s snarl was that of a wounded tiger. You never heard him so angry.
“You’re assuming I care what she thinks.” Neil's voice was so cold it turned my blood to ice. “Might I remind you I was forced into this engagement? I never willingly chose her as my fiancée. You blackmailed me into it!"
